I wasn't a follower of We're the Russos during their Class A years so I was very interested to learn why they moved to a Class B RV Van. I follow them on YouTube as I moved towards retirement and started to build out my cargo can into a part time RV. The most time I spend on my van is a week at a time with an 8 day cooler that I can honestly day lasts 6 or 7 days. Why anyone would go from a motor home to a van needed understanding. Joe did that well with this book.I must say I appreciated the links at the end of each chapter that either highlight a particular area, museum or a particular trial by fire they had to endure. These links weren't always active in a Kindle HD 7th gen as it always loses its internet connection and has to be reestablished each time you pick it up. That means this is a book you can reference again and again just for the checklists, park overviews or museum information provided at the conclusion of each chapter. 7 miles per gallon is a lot of pain to endure. Roads you cannot traverse are another great reason for downsizing. While I have no need for an off road excursion or hiking trail, a diesel pusher would be just as more cumbersome! Good read, Joe Russo. Nicely documented. If you are dying to read this book I would suggest the Kindle version to save money and shelf space. You should be able to read it in an hour or two. Each chapter ends with him referring you to their web site/videos for additional information. Since I am a reader not a watcher this didn't work for me. On the bright side you can go to their (Joe and Kait) website and get any useful information for free. This reads much like a diary that family members might find interesting - like them stopping to pick up a few things from Costco, conversations between the two of them, taking the dog for a walk and on and on and on...
